I used to really really hate economics and money related subjects at school. It's my favorite now.People must be willing to change. And today is mandatory.

a speck of victory

Warm sake for dinner. Bitter at the beginning sweet at the end,just like life.

Today's entry to this blog roll is just another happy milestone of my daily life. Good small things are happening everyday. Do we really appreciate those moments and celebrate? Or we only just wait for the big things? No matter how small is the success, we just need to celebrate those moments. Even for other people.

The power of spoken words is something that I'm trying to perfect on a daily basis. Robert Kiyosaki spoke of it. So does Bill Britt. It's not easy but it pays.

I've installed two programs on my Ubuntu laptop. I should have done in years ago. Wine and Ares. With Wine , I'm able to run some native Windows program on my Linux based laptop. What's next mIRC? :) Three years ago, I've made a decision to change. I just like freebies. Free updates and virus free. Well , that's a peace of mind.

self educating

Thank you to all the people who has been involved in the development of open source and linux. It is very relieving to find out that linux users are also able to trade forex and open a demo account.

Self education on finance, business ,trading, networking,personal development and leadership has been more crucial than ever before. With the development of the internet, things are getting much easier even in currency trading. In my opinion, learning such basic skills has more ROI (return on investment) compared to earning another Masters degree or PhD. The more knowledge and exposure o how the world's finance and business systems works, the more chances of survival in the future. It's all about survival. Job security is just an illusion.

Let's go kick some butt

This what I will do when I'm busy. Kick some butt out of the way! There's will be many obstacles and challenges along the way which will hinder our road to success. Or wherever we want to go, even to lunch!'
We just kick somebutt off the path.

I predict I won't be posting much or the next few weeks. I will be doing some research around and heavy reading most of the time. But this will definitely be worth the time and money.

wrong marriage!

Here's a short note about what I'm thinking after reaching home at 8pm.

"Gosh, today's stuff at work was really exciting. Stimulting and thought provoking. Not that I'm promoting just work till you are 50.But, you gotta love what you're doing if you decided that you wanna devote 8 hours a day doing it everyday. At least have the mindset of doing something that adds value to other people or simply to yourself. For example, an opportunity to grow our knowledge technically. Else, don't do it. It's like marrying somebody you don't love!"

Presentation skills training @infineon

Some fun stuff at work. This is one of the trainings on soft skills provided by my company. Personally, I think that's I'm grateful to have such opportunities to associate with such experienced trainers (Kusma and Sophea) who have shared so much knowledge in the span of 3 days. Besides, I also a few interesting people such as "Google" , Danny and others.

There are a few stuff that struck me during the course. One of it is regarding ourselves as a personal profit center. Like a business even at work. Hence, we need to project a good image and repoir among co-workers. And this can be achieve by investing in our communication and presentation skills which is a useful and essential skill in building a business.

Are you focusing on things that really matter?

If there's a skill that I want to develop and nurture, it will be the ability to focus. We hear about focus everyday, but do we really apply it effectively in our lives?

Before cracking the poor head more about this topic, try answering a few question privately.

1. Does your daily activity is focused on a certain goals in your life? Perhaps, why are you doing what are you doing today?

2.Are you reacting everyday instead? Does you activity is a response due to someone pushed your hot button?

3. Does your action/activities today will make a difference in your life tomorrow? Perhaps some value?

If question 1,2 &3 were answered in a No,Yes, No manner, maybe now is the time to sit down and think about what to focus in life. After what happened recently, I chose to sit down and rethink again.

Public speaking blues

Did you know that public speaking is rated #1 fear among people which ranks out the fear of divorce #1 and death #4?

Public speaking is like riding a roller coaster. It gets very very scarry at first. But after a while, you will enjoy it really much.

The benefits of overcoming this fear is very rewarding. It opens career opportunities. It also promotes self satisfaction and increases self esteem. There are many mental hurdles that you must jump accross. But all of the pain is definitely worth it.

Speak francais

The French language is simply known as a Romance language. Not the typical "romance" that we are stereotypically referring to but rather as part of a language family.

Recently, I finally have the time to spend and explore this Romantic language of the West. It was quite some time since my last travel to Paris which was somewhere 5 years ago. Time lapsed by by but the experience left a mark in me. This is also one of the reasons which spark my interest in exploring French.

On the other hand, there are quite a number of good French movies out there like Ne le dis à Personne and etc. It is probably one of the alternatives to Hollywood. Check out Cannes Movie festival for movie highlights.

Lastly, I hope to write more but time is indeed scarce and priceless. So, there will be lesser time spent on blogging. I have a schedule now in Melaka , doing things that I enjoy. So, have a great time and ,au revoir!
